Carpet and Flooring is expected to stay clean and attractive throughout any property at all times. Tenants are expected to regularly vacuum and sweep carpets and flooring when necessary, and clean any stains from carpets with care.

Stains on Your Carpet?

As a tenant, it is your responsibility to maintain your room and property throughout the tenancy, including cleaning and maintaining the carpet and flooring in your room.

Got a Ripped or Torn Carpet?

Unless the damage to a carpet is extreme, poses a health and safety issue and/or has been ripped/torn out of malicious conduct wherein the tenant is at fault, however intentional, the carpet likely will not need urgent replacement.

If there is a rip or tear in a carpet, whether in your room or in a shared space, be responsible and mindful, individually and together, to maintain its appearance and make efforts to prevent the rip/tear from worsening.

Report a description of any ripped/torn carpet that is visible, however small or extreme, by filling out a maintenance form.
