How to Change a Light Bulb

Light bulbs come in a variety of shapes, sizes, uses, and brightness.

The Bayonet and the Screw Fitting light bulbs can look the same, like your typical everyday incandescent light bulb you are used to seeing, with the only difference being the fittings: screw or bayonet? Decide first which Fitting AND Wattage you need!

Tip: Take the old bulb to any local hardware store, including B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, or a local independent store, to find its match. Show the old bulb to a service representative for quick help and advice.

    Here are some Useful Tips:

    Be cautious about buying light bulbs from Pound Stores or similar retail. They may not be the best value for your sterling. These bulbs will blow in half the time because of poor quality.

    Spend the extra on light bulbs. Be consumer savvy. Do not buy cheap. Not only will better bulbs be better quality, they will save you money and time having to replace them too often.
