Has a leg on the chair broken?

Is there a spindle loose or broken off?

Is the fabric on the chair coming off?

First Check: Are any of the screws loose on the furniture?

It could be a easier fix than first thought! Simply look at all the screw fittings, find any loose screws, match it to the correct screwdriver head and go from there.

You can purchase the necessary screwdriver and tools from any local home hardware store, including B&Q, Wickes and Homebase or any local independent shop.  Take the screw with you to the shop and ask a service representative for more assistance if needed.

Are there stains on the chair cushions or fabric of the chair?

You can remove most stains quickly without having to replace the item. Many products for stain removal are available for furniture fabrics. For quick tips see:

Not a quick fix kind of problem?

If it is not as simple as screwing in a loose screw or cleaning tough stains from the fabric, there can be a variety of reasons for why a chair may need to be fixed and/or replaced. Each incident is different and so will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.  Arrive Homes will replace the item if it is damaged beyond use and repair and wherein the tenant is not found to be at fault.

If you are experiencing an issue with the furniture item, report a description of the issue by filling in a maintenance form.
