Tools & Equipment

Tenants are responsible for caring and maintaining the garden, and to help ensure this, Arrive Homes provides to each of their homes the necessary garden tools and equipment.

If you are experiencing any problems with the tools and equipment provided, read on:


Lawn Mowers:

Lawn mowers are provided by Arrive Homes with the agreement that tenants will care for and maintain the lawn and equipment, including bagging grass cuttings and disposing of them in the bins provided, clearing the mower's vents and other areas prone to clogging and removing any grass buildup on the bottom of the mower after cutting.

If you believe that the lawn mower is broken, and you have made attempts to fix the problem, report a description of the issue by filling in a maintenance form.

If the lawn mower is broken, and is not damaged due to a tenants fault, Arrive Homes will replace the item, and may request that you purchase the lawn mower from any local hardware store, such as B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, or any local independent store for reimbursement. Keep receipts.


Blades:

As part of the upkeep and proper maintenance of your lawnmower, replace blades as often as needed. You can purchase the lawnmower blades from any local hardware store, such as B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, or any local independent store for reimbursement. Keep receipts.  


Power Extension Cords:

Where needed, power extension cords are provided by Arrive Homes for lawn care use and maintenance.

If this equipment is broken or unusable, and is not damaged due to a tenants fault, Arrive Homes will replace the item, and may request that you purchase the power extension cord from any local hardware store, such as B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, or any local independent store for reimbursement. Keep receipts.

Report the equipment damaged/unusable by filling in a maintenance form.


Brooms & Rakes:

Brooms & Rakes are provided by Arrive Homes with the agreement that tenants will care for and maintain the garden, lawn and equipment.

If this equipment is broken or unusable, and is not damaged due to a tenants fault, Arrive Homes will replace the item, and may request that you purchase the broom or rake from any local hardware store, such as B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, or any local independent store for reimbursement. Keep receipts.

Report the equipment with a description of the damage by filling in a maintenance form.


Hedge Trimmers:

Hedge Trimmers are provided by Arrive Homes with the agreement that tenants will care for and maintain the garden, lawn and equipment.

If this equipment is broken or unusable, and is not damaged due to a tenants fault, Arrive Homes will replace the item, and may request that you purchase the hedge trimmer from any local hardware store, such as B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, or any local independent store for reimbursement. Keep receipts.

Report the equipment with a description of the damage by filling in a maintenance form.


Basic Tools:

Arrive Homes provides a basic tool kit to each of its homes to tackle the common issues tenants may have in a home. If there are any basic tools that you need to complete a maintenance job, contact us.

Arrive Homes keeps an inventory list for each house, and all tools provided in the kit must be cared for throughout the duration of any tenancy agreement, and accounted for upon ending a tenancy.

If an item is broken, Arrive Homes will replace it, and may request that you purchase the tool(s) from any local hardware store, such as B&Q, Homebase, Wickes, or any local independent store for reimbursement. Keep receipts.

Report any equipment missing by filling in a maintenance form.
